I created this plugin because I got tired of companies charging $50–$100 per year just to add decent spam protection to Jetpack forms, comments, and WooCommerce registrations. I wanted something simple, invisible, and actually effective — no subscriptions, no hidden upsells, just reliable bot blocking that respects your time and wallet.

The free version uses Google reCAPTCHA v3 to silently score every submission (0.0 = almost certainly a bot, 1.0 = almost certainly human). It blocks low-score attempts, moves Jetpack form spam to the Feedback spam folder, flags comment spam automatically, and even stops bot registrations on WooCommerce (including the My Account page). Behind the scenes, the code loads the reCAPTCHA script only when needed, generates a fresh token on every form submit, verifies it server-side against Google’s API, and logs the score + outcome so you can see exactly what’s happening.

Most users never need more than the free version — it already stops the majority of automated spam without any visible CAPTCHA challenges. • Automatic Temporary Bans Any IP that fails reCAPTCHA verification 5 times is automatically banned for a period you choose (24 hours, 48 hours, 72 hours, 7 days, or longer). Persistent bots get locked out instead of just being scored low over and over.
• Smart Range / Botnet Protection When multiple IPs from the same network (/16 for IPv4 or /64 for IPv6) keep failing, the entire range is temporarily banned. This is highly effective against coordinated bot attacks that rotate through many addresses on the same subnet.
• Permanent IP Blacklist Manually add any IP to a permanent blacklist with one click. Clear the whole list or remove individual addresses whenever you want. Full management UI is built in
  • no database edits required.
• Custom Actions for Low Scores & Banned IPs Choose exactly what happens when a low-score submission or a banned IP hits your site:
  • Show a clean error page
  • Redirect back with a dismissible warning banner
  • Redirect to any URL you choose
• Early Blocking Banned IPs and ranges are stopped very early (on init)
  • before they ever reach your forms, comments, or WooCommerce registration pages.
• Live Dashboard Widget A clean status box right on your WordPress dashboard showing:
  • Number of permanent bans
  • Active temporary bans (broken down into individual IPs vs ranges)
  • Total failed attempts being tracked
  • Whether Range Protection is currently ON
  • Current ban duration
  • Top 3 offending IPs
• Failed Submission Chart A Chart.js bar chart of the last 100 IPs by number of failed attempts so you can quickly spot the worst offenders.
